@Blacktop - I saw a few likes there and figured you were catching up. Thanks.

Righto what did I get up to today?

Nice overcast day so decided to go for a drive. Discovered that the horse jumping crowd were out in force so I went a mingling. Took a few of them actually jumping but as yet haven't processed them.
Instead I concentrated on non-horsey stuff and discovered that there is a whole family of canines that get dragged along to these events. Its pretty tiring for these little guys as you will soon see.

I also did a bit of candid "street photography" which is easy in this environment with a 70-300mm lens.
That reminds me … has anyone seem my lens cover? The worst feature of my 70-300mm and it was only a matter of time until I lost it.

On my way out I spotted a young lass with her horse down at the river and it was probably the most moving of all I had seen all day. I think y'all get 4 of those! :D
She gave me her e-mail address so I will be sending them on to her as soon as I am finished with you lot.

I am going to start with my "Shot of The Day"

Like all these, but the one before the last shot is my favorite.

I love the mother daughter picture. I have no idea what the mother was thinking about. But you did a awe inspiring job of capturing the mood.

A bit disappointing today. I took a few photos but none were really any good.
Came across a family (mum, dad, daughter and dog) out for a walk and snapped two of the little girl. One of which is OK and I will forward to them.

Not my usual style tonight.
My flatmate got a set of those macro filters that screw on to the front of the lens so I thought I would try it out.
Took some getting used to as it has a very narrow depth of field and with a wasp millimetres from my nose I was very much the reluctant photographer.

This is what I managed and I think he was zeroing in on me.

I wanted to go out and shoot after dinner (daylight saving kicked in yesterday) but it started raining so that put a stop to that idea.

So does her mother … and i think she wants it printed

Yes mom wanted it block printed to display on her bedside cabinet. Size 20 x 25.
She wanted two - one for the grandparents.
I added $10.00 to the price for all my hard work and have ordered them for her.
Pretty pleased that she liked it that much and pretty pleased I have SOLD a photo.

Does that make me a Professional?

Clearly time to upgrade to the D4 …. :D :applause:
