More birds

The first is a seagull taking advantage of the warm weather to have a good splash.
The second a cormorant sunbathing and very annoyed about the human interference.
Have since been advised that the second one is in fact a "Shag" ???? That's what I was told.

Very nice work Lawrence. That sunset shot has a real amount of pop to it. I'm liking your creativity from day to day, it's inspiring. That shot of the seagull with the water totally frozen is very cool as well. I really like the way the water looks.

I also like what you tried with the tyre! It's a cool pattern. When I did those shots, I really pumped up the contrast to make them really pop.

YOU liking MY tyre is like the best compliment ever! Thanks man.
Oh and for all the other compliments too. :)

Great bird photos Lawrence. But stop and think. How would you like it if someone kept pointing a camera at you while you were trying to take a bath.

Well Ron at my age I would be very surprised but hopefully quick witted enough to check on who the photographer is and maybe invite her in. ;)

or …. tell him to move on.

Not much time for photos today but I did buy some unusual green chicken eggs yesterday which I wanted to show you guys.
So I took a quick flash shot of them this morning and have had some fun in Perfect Effects 8 tonight to doll them up.

As a post script I regret to advise that 2 of the green eggs did not make it beyond breakfast. :confusion:

Note to self:
I am going through a phase of trying to find out best position for my single flash for shots - the idea is to avoid or enhance shadows.
I am also thinking of building a little photo box and quick set up home studio all for zero dollars.
It all stretches the old brain.
In addition I am also experimenting and learning about post processing.

The artistic layout also needs work. :eek:range:

Taking sunsets in this location should be banned -it's like clubbing seals!

Golden Coromandel sunset LOL.jpg

and this quaint but very modern cottage is just down the road. I'd love to see inside.
The original was too white and boring as it was taken when the sun was quite high and bright. I made some adjustments in Perfect Effects 8

Thanks @bill - always good to get a compliment from you too!

The dog turned out good but a bit of luck there as he was in the back seat of a car looking out the window which filled the bottom right of the photo. Luckily the background was dark so erasing the window with a matching dark look worked.
