Lawrence's 365 for 2014

This scene appealed tome as the rocks look so rugged, the grass on them obviously having had a tough life exposed to the elements as they have been, the huge tree on the left with a horizontal truck further proof of how the weather can get and then with all that going on the sea was as smooth as glass.

Beautiful!

Only birds today. Very disappointing as I went out with something else in mind but couldn't find "it"
Oh well "it" will show up one day.
First the "bird" of paradise.

I'm not overly joyed with any of them but I am not going out again as it is flipping cold and windy and raining.

I like them too. My zoom are a bit soft to. Should try to calibrate it... someday....

I found this delightful little stream with lots of small falls and rapids. Can practice on them for hours.
Next time I will take my gumboots for better access.
Be sure to click on them for a better effect.

Did you just recently put watermarks on your photos? I haven't noticed it before, but I like the logo. Lens of Lawrence. :encouragement:

Same day ...

This property has 4 or 5 old gold mine shafts on it. I am too nervous to venture into them but they are interesting and those old folks were both brave and nuts.
The height of this shaft is maybe 6' so it isn't very high.
That grey/brown stuff on the floor is water and it is about a foot deep.
I had planned to take a photo of the most accessible one and today was the day.
Lovely colours and the swallows seem to think its a good spot for starting a family. Looks like both nests have residents.

I did try and get the big moon this morning but the planned shot was thwarted by clouds.
This was the scene just before I gave up and had a second cup of coffee.

And then later I went out to pick some fruit and decided to shoot a bowl of citrus and change the look in Perfect effects. 'twas fun.

Those gold mines look interesting. I can understand you being reluctant to go in but they look reasonably stable. Those shots could look good in HDR I reckon :D

As always Lawrence, I love catching up on your thread.

I must say my friend, you seriously have the eye for landscapes and forest scenes. They are outstanding! I am very impressed. Keep at it!
