I got the chair but not the imagination. I reckon there are a few of you here that would do something amazing with this chair (also have a red and a green one)
However I lack imagination, the ability to "set-up" a shot and patience.

But they are quite nice chairs.

I will probably put up the red one as well just for my reference.

Getting in early today as I have a lot to do. Took my 35mm 1.8 for a short spin.
I didn't have to go far before I came across this South African Protea - protea's seem to do well in New Zealand.

Hopefully I will get another opportunity to go out later today but until then have a wonderful day all of those who will see this post.

Just beautiful. Can't see how you could do much better than this, but, of course, we will still push you to do so.

Thanks Ron. I am quite please with it and having used my 35mm prime I may enter it in this month's comp. Just have to review what they are looking for - I think it is more than just "pretty" and includes composition and all that other stuff.

Your comments most appreciated.

I think you should enter the contest Lawrence. I, too, think they are looking for more than just pretty, which is all I have managed so far. Will probably look for a different composition to show the range of that focal length. Will look forward to your entries.

I went back and used the tripod, manual focus and remote shutter release.
I think it is sharper than the first one.

Having an off day (hey I'm allowed one every now and again) and just not in the mood today.
Took a photo of part of the carving on the dining table.
