However the world keeps turning and we are now over the hump and summer is on it's way back!

NO! I am not ready to send summer back towards the Kiwis, Aussies, or the rest of you bottomsiders. We just had snow in the last week here in Utah which I think means we deserve to restart from the beginning of summer.

Done crying here on the forum. I will now go cry in my beer over the loss of summer.

Not too long now and you won't even have to put the beers in the fridge.

A few shots from today.

The view from my new front door. Mine for 5 months.

View from Deck LOL.jpg
One of my 2 charges - they look identical and focusing on an eye is impossible.
Cooper LOL.jpg

I then took a drive around one area to see what was there - lots of potential shots with the right light.
I snapped these two as a starter.

wow! If i was fifty again i would apply as your helper. Lol. I like the doggie shot, their bark can be an annoyance, worse if they are debarked. Love the sunset/sunrise.

Beautiful views, where are you living now?
On the Coromandel peninsula right on top of a hill overlooking Coromandel town.
The town is at about the same level as Auckland but it is a two hour drive. A crow has far less to travel than a car!
There are a lot of beautiful spots and interesting subjects to photograph here so I am looking forward to my 6 months here.

It has been raining all day! Got a small break and went for a drive. Saw lots of potential and have logged them in the cranium.
I did come across this old shed which I could do some justice to if I could trespass.
Anyway I had fun removing a distracting house and power poles in the background.

And from another angle ...

Same shed LOL.jpg

This looks like I overcooked it but I never touched the luminance or colour in anyway - must just be the way the light fell.
The grass in the foreground looks fine but the background looks too green!

LOVE the farrier shots! Funny I've never thought to pull my camera out to capture that but you did great! Looks like you'll have some lovely land and waterscapes over the next few months :)

Thanks
Capturing that smoke was awesome but the pleasant surprise was the action in his arms and hands.
I have others but they are very similar - useful for practising my processing on.

This little fella (or his/her twin) seems to come calling everyday.
Not as sharp as I would like it but … I have 5 months to get a really sharp shot.

Playing with my limited lighting again. Not a good idea as it becomes more evident that I have a lot to learn to get this right.
