Day 130

Got back much later than anticipated.
Got some amazing flower shots and truly stunning sunsets - in fact I can hardly believe the first photo is straight out of camera with just a minor crop.
The second is of a sticker of a bird (New Zealand Tui) on a window with the sunset as a backdrop - I thought it would be novel.
I have some lovely sunsets, including a panorama to stitch but will do that in the morning.

Day 131

Didn't take too many today. I was up there for an "interview" as this is the next place I will be housesitting (for 5 months) Yes I got the job and will be going there on 1st July
Anyway I hate to bore you with more views but that's what I took. The first is the view I woke up to this morning. i think I can live with this.

The next is a sunset as I was heading home.

Day 132

A bit of a flat day today - I didn't think you would appreciate yet another sunset!
Everything happened on the deck today.
The first is a photo of the top of the deck railing with grass unbelievable sprouting through the tiniest of cracks where the wood has dried and a spider thinking this would be a good support for his web.
Then the next two are of a little bug. I need a macro lens and thought this might entice one of you to buy me one. ;)
And finally - the BBQ cover got caught by the wind and, between the wind and the deck, removed some of the fluff.

Been doing this for about 6 years now and seen quite a bit of New Zealand but getting to the point where I want to settle down again. But it is cool living for next to nothing while I look after people's pets and homes. Meet lots of nice folk too.

Day 133

I found a graveyard!
I won't bother you with all 52 photos I took as there is a lot of heavy clutter in the background which, due to the sheer size volume and weight, proved too much to move. Moving the vehicles themselves was also impossible as all had either run out of fuel or the fuel had been stolen - siphoned off in the dark of night perhaps. We'll likely never know.

More to follow straight after this.

OK...my fave is the very last tank shot. Very nicely done :)

Hey Vickey I'm not a car guy/petrol head and that is the first time I have ever seen these types of Austins - from a distance I thought they were Landrovers. It is an awesome graveyard and I would love to spend more time there but the guy in the shop was a grumpy old coot (I thought he belonged out with the cars). He only said 2 things to me:
"humph …." when I said hello and
"knock your socks off" when I asked to take photos. I wasn't too sure if the latter was a threat or an invite to carry on so I made an assumption.

Oh sorry I lie.

On the way out he replied with another "humph …" when I said thanks and good bye.

humph ….
