Day 86

Disaster day.
Long story short.
The end …
So only had time to do a quick shoot of the first thing that came to hand (might revisit with 35mm tomorrow)

Day 87

A tough day at the studio - beating myself up to fine something worthwhile.

First off a Tree house which to me looks like a building behind the tree rather than in it but I was confined by the farm fence. I can't exactly go trespassing to get a clear shot.

Flowers that stood out in the diminishing light.

On the wane LOL.jpg

The big milk factory down the road. I was a long way away with only my 18-105mm so this is a big crop.

Oh well it is what it is I suppose. At least my curried lamb dinner was a success.

Day 89

We had a steam train visit today. It was fun waiting for it but the resultant shots have a terrible industrial background so will be going out later to get it on the return run out in the country without any building behind it.

I rather liked this last one.

Man I tell you what these things don't hang about. They move and you get one chance. Heaps of fun though.

Day 90

Strange how some days turn out. Heard these far off voices today and couldn't pinpoint them. In the end and after much driving around I found the commotion in late afternoon. It was the finals of the Punjabi Games - I kid you not.
Approaching apprehensively I was amazed at the welcome I received because I had a camera. Seems these fellows love their pictures taken.
So note to anyone worried about pointing cameras in faces I have found Indians (not of the American kind) to be keen.

I have a lot of interesting portraits but …
The entire place was surrounded by vehicles and/or spectators creating no escape from bad background. And of course being the brilliant photographer I am (clearly not) I didn't even think aperture. So too many have background distractions which is clearly my own fault.
However I once again had fun - Love taking candid portraits. Trouble is with these guys keeping the candid is the challenge!
I have lots for you - in no particular order.
I'll do them in batches of 4

And to end this series off there was a fellow with some strange make of camera there too … no idea who let him in!

For the next day (and possible 2) I will be taking photos but may not post as I will be away visiting my son who is having some treatment.
I will post the photos when I can

Wow Lawrence, the Punjabi games was a great stumble-upon, and you took some really good portraits. Not much you can do about backgrounds at busy festivals etc. What a great find :D
