Here's an interesting point to ponder...
I did a google search on the phrase "is turkey tail lichen edible"
The first result was this thread... Might be legit, or it might be my computer playing tricks on me... I'm easily fooled.

Regardless, it said turkey tail lichen is cultivated for medicines...
