It does looks like a sensor cleaning is in order; or a remnant of the Fukushima reactor cloud from last year.

If you shot that with your d7000 I would say that is an oil spot, mine had 4 or 5 of them. It was a common problem with serial numbers starting with 2xxxxx,3xxxxx, and 62xxxxx. Something about excess Lubrication getting by a seal in the the Mirror/sensor chamber. You can't blow it off but need a good cleaner like Eclipse from Photographic solutions, also Eclipse is formulated not to hurt Nikon's tin oxide sensor coating. If you are worried about doing it yourself you can send it into Nikon, but it isn't that hard.

Check your lens real good first. I started out with a D3100 and the kit lens, switched to a D7000 and kept the D3100 kit lens. My spot (just like yours) showed up on photos from both, right at the same location. The spot is not there with the 55-300.

It was taken by my 5 yr old D80 camera. I have a sensor cleaning kit and I have used it frequently with my other cameras.

Can we photoshop with these entries or do I have to make do with the pale, weak so called English summer sky we have here at the moment.... not even the Olympics can save us here on the south coast!

Yes you may use Photoshop, NX2. Paintshop Pro.......whatever. It's your photo. :)

Has not been a cloud in the sky forever. Woke up this morning and you can see clouds strung out all the way east towards North Dakota.
Nothing special just wanted to get an entry in before we take off.

If the next contest is on motorcycles or wild times :) then I should have some to pick through.

What building? I'd go with the UFO also. I'll check my lens just in case. My D5100 battery died so I had to use my Coolpix 3100.

Wakodahatchee Wetlands is in Delray Beach FL.

The Wakodahatchee Wetlands

There's another location I was thinking of. It must be in Boca but close to Delray. Off 441, as you go down the road, there is an observation tower. Is that Loxahatchee?
