its been a couple days. Kind of a nice little break. Today i decided to put the camera down and get some work done on the old 57. See how far that got me? LOL. 2 minutes into welding when the "Masks" challenge hit me. took a break, and got it done.

You couldn't do that here in NM . . . you'd set the state on fire . . . so dry here.

Its been a little while. took a nice break and enjoyed some quality family time...and car time lol. My son tested for the next belt in tae kwon do today. Here he is doing some self defense. Not happy about the noise in this one, but I like the movement of it. Anyone have any recommendations for a program that can reduce noise effectively without killing the picture?

Great action shot, Joe!

I use Define 2.0 by Nik software. Am pretty happy with it. They have a 15 day trial.

Nice action movement. Unless you were looking for it, the noise is not that noticeable (to me anyway). Does the kid bending over get the foot upside his hide?

The kid is a "she" and she is one of his instructors. its hard to tell but he has her by the wrist and has it twisted, then she gets a kick to the face once he has her bent over lol. Pretty impressive for a 10 year old.

Yes, I did, i warmed it up and then desaturated it. In my head when I took this shot, I thought of black and white but that was too busy. The grassy background blended in with the foreground too much. Full color was too much, and I did't want that anyway.....so I did this primarily to have that subtle separation between the back ground and the foreground, and still have that black and white "feel" i was originally looking for.

Joe, I don't know if this makes any sense to you, but this shot looks........relaxing.............for lack of a better word. :) I like it.

Excellent capture, Joe, and great choice on the desat. A very "soothing" pic. I really like this one!

I too have to agree with Jack and Jen this is such a tranquil picture it pulls you in and makes you feel so peaceful. Nice composition and great shot!!
