sometime its hard to find your shot. I've always said, art, its not a competition, there's no right or wrong, just opinions...

Re: James project 365

This morning I decided to task my self with trying to make the ordinary look extraordinary. So with a baron and desolate landscape I set about my task.

DSC_5045 web.jpg

Obviously the first is not a landscape but it was a shot a couldn't resist. Also from a different angle

This is of the sand dunes. I decided to focus on the sky as the clouds began to break.

DSC_5048 web.jpg

This is of our local friendly nuclear power station. Again the sky is the focal point on this shot.

This shot is my favorite of the morning. I got down low and focused on the wild grass, with the sky in thee back ground it just has something about it.

Today I'd planned to take an early run out to either whitby, saltburn, staithes or runswick bay for the sunrise. But as I rose it was raining. So I wen't back to bed got up a little later and took a few of the walkway close to my house whilst dog walking. Have to plan the early run out again soon.

Ok, so today I headed to yarm and had a play.

This is shot a 7 shot panorama. I stitched it together using Microsoft ICE

I felt this looked best with selective colours

This shot has been de-saturated a little to make it look older
DSC_5262 web.jpg
I stripped out the colour, added a blue tinge and dropped the exposure to try and make it look spooky

Last is the church.

I used to live in your area, at Great Ayton, about 10 miles south of Middlesbrough. So nice to see the place names etc I used to go myself!
