Thanks, one of my favourites as well.
Thanks Deezey, I've been living in this house for 10 years now and I see them everyday, but I still don't tire of sitting and watching them out on my lawn.
I get a great satisfaction of sharing my place with them.
The young Joey that I took photos of and posted in post #1 in this thread, has been partially orphaned by her mother, and she is living under a low section of my verandah. The mother is around every day, and they still bond when they are together, but the Joey is fending for herself now. If I am walking past where she is sitting I can usually go by without her taking off and hiding now, as long as I don't get closer than about 6 feet.
When we first came here, we made the mistake of feeding them, there were a couple that would eat food out of our hands. But we have stopped doing that now, and make them eat their natural food. They are definitely not starving.

I had to go into Mackay to do a few things for work today.
While I was there, I had a few spare minutes and I had my camera with me in the car, a rare combination.
These were taken with the 16-85. I am a bit surprised just how much wider 16mm is compared to my old 18-55.
The pics of the Ambassador were taken from the centre of the road, it was the only position I could get a relatively clear shot, because of a truck parked in the way.

Just noticed in these blue sky shots I have some spots on my sensor

Here are a couple of shots of the Racecourse Sugar Mill.
The cane crush started this week.
This is one of about 4 mills in the district, this one is their flagship, because it uses its byproducts to distill ethanol, and it generates electricity and puts it back into the powergrid.
The field in the foreground is sugarcane ready to be harvested.
EDIT- the sky looks weird in the first shot. Not sure what happened there.

I believe they are meant to be fish bones, there was a story about them in the local newspaper a while back but I cant remember the details.
They are made from cast aluminium.

I have been playing around with "HDR Efex Pro 2" over the last couple of days as I have downloaded the 15 day free trial of the NIK plugins.
So far I have been liking what I can do with them, I will probably buy them once my trial runs out.
Someone mentioned a while ago, that my old tractor would make a good HDR subject, here are a couple of versions that I did last night.
The first one looks more real, I think I prefer this style rather than the overprocessed look.
