I have been approached by another business owner from Brisbane, they want to stock some of my pens in their shop.

I have put together a bit of a selection for them to chose from, they want to start with 10 pens.

Waiting for an Email back to see which ones they want.

Hopefully this will help to fatten the D600 money tin :)

That's great news! Good luck! Great pens!

Thanks Marilynne. I hope the customers down there like them and I get plenty of orders to restock the shelf.

In my area I have sold many pens, but things have slowed down and I seem to be only selling one about every fortnight.
Must have flooded the market, because I was selling 3-5 a week at one stage.

Good luck with this new oppotunity. You have a very nice selection of pens so I would have to believe that things will go well for you.

Thanks Grandpaw.
While my penmaking is just another one of my hobbies, it is the only one which is self-supporting, and provides a little extra, which helps to fund my other hobbies and interests, like photography.
I certainly wouldnt want to be relying on my penmaking income to pay all my bills, I would be living a very simple life indeed.
So any pen sales makes me happy, I can buy more bits to make more pens, and a bit goes in the tin to fund my toys.
One day I'll get back to finishing my website, that will also help to sell more pens. I got a little sidetracked with this photography thing. but thats not a bad thing, as I am enjoying myself.

One of my suppliers of pen parts surprised me with a Christmas package, 4 component sets of a new style he is about to stock for sale. It is similar to one of his lines already, except these new ones have a stylus tip on the finial end. It will be interesting to see if they are popular.

I have dressed this one in one of my Wifes polymer clay tubes, let me know what you think.

I like it! Very colorful. The stylus tip must be the hot thing right now. Just got a catalog yesterday displaying them.

Love the purple pens. Purple is my favorite color. :)

I got hold of a piece of almost black glass the other day, this is the first photo using it.
Got a few issues to sort out with reflections, but I think it has promise.
Let me know your thoughts please.

I like the black background but this image looks busy and a little confusing to me.

Your probably right there Jeff. I had 5 shots to choose from, this one had the least amount of unwanted reflections, so I went with it.
I have a few ideas planned to try and improve things. Once I get them sorted I can try for better pen placement.

This is a really nice pen. The light reflection bugs me a bit and you could have added a white piece of paper to fill-in the shadows in front a a little to define the reflected bottom part of your fine pen.

Thanks Marcel.
I am a bit undecided on having the pen reflected as it is here. I think with a single barrel pen it will look good, but with the capped fountain pen it has added a bit too much clutter.
With this set-up I had to turn off the front lights either side of the camera, as it caused too much glare reflecting off the glass, the downside of this is the bottom of the pen in shadow.
I think a bit of experimenting is in order to get it right. I might even have to rethink my lightbox/tent for this one.

Just completed making this latest pen.

Played around a bit with the lightbox/tent, I think I was doing better before I made these latest changes. Might have to change it back to how I had it, and make up something new for the black glass.

Heres the better photos of what I took today.
