The Water Dragon has been hanging around close to the house lately, my Wife took some shots of him with her iPhone camera on Sunday.
You'll get there with the macro shots Lawrence. Practice and more practice, and focus on the eyes.

That blue bee is a Neon Cuckoo Bee apparently. I've never seen one either. These guys are good for identifying insects www.BrisbaneInsects.com

I went looking for the Bees again this afternoon. I tried a different approach today, no flash, so I had to open up to f11 to keep the shutter speed high enough.
It is windy again today, so I missed a lot of shots, these were the best of what I took.
Let me know what you think of these shots compared to yesterdays using the flash.

Yeah, could get a bit wild in a day or so. If it tracks as they are predicting, we will miss out on the action. Rockhampton South will get all the rain. Hopefully no major flooding, no one needs that. You better shake those spiders out just in case.Get your wellies out Brad. Mine are at the backdoor ready (better knock the spiders out first I guess). Looks like us Aussies are about to get wet (ie you, Scott & myself)
