Yes, it does; provided the item already has at least a 90-day warranty.

I do want to question this again... I am a VIP member and on the website under questions was this...

I contacted the warranty company, and this was the response:
Sales must be made by Adorama. The receipt we get at time of service must be an Adorama receipt and the purchase must be made on the same day, or after VIP membership is purchased.
I've advised Andrew so he can amend his response.

Thank you Helen! I purchased a refurbished D800E along with a few other accessories on Ebay tonight through Adorama (after, of course, purchasing the VIP Extended coverage) Glad to know the items will be covered. Plus I got 18 mos financing through Bill Me Later. Life is good
