Off to the slice and dicer

Well today is the day, and my ride will be here shortly. I will have by Blackberry, so I can mobile surf later when I am awake and coherent. Please forgive any non-squentor comments for the next 12 hours though. I'll let you all know how things went this evening.

Dude, they put up with me! Your comments will seem coherent as hell compared to my usual stuff!

Good luck and tell 'em its your shoulder that is bothering you. See if they are on their toes!! :)

I'm not going to comment on last nights game. I didn't even tweet much.

Crappy night. Cat nap central with no real sleep. Just couldn't get comfortable. Meds are working, and physio will get me up after breakfast.

Well I made it home. It is a challenge to do this in a 60+ yr old house. I had an Occupational Therapist in, and they set me up with some amenities to help with my limitations at the moment. It may be a few days before I think I will work with my lightbox. I made a larger one before surgery, to accomodate my 2 flashes.

The surgeon says all looks good. Removed the tensor and dressings, and I can shower and wash my leg. Physio today, wow the stretching. I can now walk around the house without the brace, and bend (slowly) my knee to sit at the computer desk. Liberating. Still need the immobilizer for going out for the rest of the week. Physiotherapist thinks I will be out of it by the end of the week, but still need it for sleeping for another 2 weeks.

Another day with liberation. With my ACL brace instead of the immobilizer, I was able to get into my van fairly easy and sit comfortably. Being an automatic, I don't have to use my left leg, and went for a drive around the block. FREEDOM!!!

At physio today, Paul brought up a point that may explain my speed recovery. One is the amount of pre-op work I put into my muscles. Two is that I had an allograph instead of an autograph from my hamstring. I do not have a healing hamstring to slow me down and strong quads, hamstring, and calf muscles to speed up the recovery.

Although I did use a power scooter at Walmart tonight for grocery shopping, I did walk in from the parking lot and back out, albeit slowly. The family was happy to get out as one and do something together.
