The way I see it... Used Smart photo editor, and, Photomatix.

More power to those who like it but "grunge" HDR isn't my cup of tea. Here's a couple of "lightly baked" shots where I used HDR to enhance what would otherwise have been a challenging lighting scenario.

"Grunge" is defined as the over-baked, cartoon-like HDR. I see a lot of it on this forum. That's not a knock on the style, BTW. The term actually comes from Photomatix (still the best HDR software IMHO) and refers to one of their preset processing selections.

That style of HDR is actually quite popular with consumers at fairs and art festivals lately. Those photographers who are most successful at it are processing their work to look like oil paintings.

After you process you go to menu<file<save as

I have tried that. The only SAVE AS options I get are:

.HRD <radiance RGBE>
.EXR <open exr-ZIP compression>
.EXR <open exr-PIZ compression>
.TIF <floating point TIFF>

....... none of which opens in Photoshop, Paintshop, etc.
