Help me Decide D5300 vs D5500

I bought my d5300 about the time the d5500 came out in the uk and I went for the d5300 as the extra features on the d5500 were minimal like the gps I don't really get why that's needed on a camera tbh, but the main factor was the d5500 looks cheaper and not as well built, more plastic, less solid etc.
And I will say the d5300 is a million times better camera than I am a photographer..

Just to update...

Today I went to Best Buy to compare again. I got in my hands the D7200, D5500 and the D5300.

I noticed that the D7200 was a little fat on the grip but my thumb wasn't over the dials.

The D5500 size was great but I found it crimpy on the deep grip as I have big hand a long fingers. Also my thumb was all over the dial.

The D5300 felt better but for my surprise the special ended and now it is $799.00 instead of $599.00.

Final story, I came back without a camera.

So big hand and long fingers and the D5300 fit you best?

Sounds like you know what to go after, so now it's a matter of finding the right deal. I agree, $799 is too much for the D5300 right now.
