To introduce myself, I'm a 60+ guy in New Hampshire, USA. My interests, besides photography, are guitar/music and motorcycling. I have been taking photographs from my teens (my dad's Argus C3). And more seriously for a newspaper in the 1970's. My first "pro" camera was a Canon F1 system, which I still have. In the film days, I kept a BW and Color darkroom going for years.
With the advent of 'good' digital cameras, I put the F1 down and starting using point and shoot digitals. I became interested in upgrading when mirrorless cameras started to emerge. I waited for Nikon to introduce a mirrorless with integrated EVF and jumped in with a purchase of the Nikon 1 v1. I like the v1, although I would very much like better high iso performance, I'm an 'available light' guy.
Been hanging around this site for a couple of weeks and quite enjoy the experience, you all seem to have a great sense of comraderie and respect for each other. So I'm in!
So hi to all, Randy
