These fireworks images were taken from about 10ft outside my back door. My neighbor set them off and the bursts were a couple hundred feet across. We had our own fireworks show. I used my Nikon D600 with my Tamron 24-70mm at 24mm with an ISO of 100 and a ten to fifteen sec shutter speed at F22.

I captured an extremely rare image here for being on the Gulf Coast. Can you guess what is so rare about this photo? Taken with my D600 with my Nikon 70-200VR and a Nikon 20E III 2x teleconverter.

what is so rare? It was "posted" 2 hrs ago, takes some time for the seagulls and other feathered friends to get comfortable with a new rest stop. :)

I'm going to show my age here and call this little guy "Rocky", and no I do not mean the boxer that Sylvester Stallone played. How many of you know who I am talking about? I really like the detail in this image. Nikon 70-200VR F2.8 with a Nikon 20E III 2x teleconverter

I am in Houston and will be here for about 2 months at M.D.Anderson Cancer Center. I have had stem cell removal completed on Saturday and will probably will start very strong chemo Wednesday. I will be in the hospital for the next several weeks so there will be no picture taking opportunities for a while. I just got my computer hooked up so as time permits I will be checking in to see what my friends and fellow members have been doing.

Give us a shout out every now and then Jeff and keep us appraised of your progress. We are all pulling for you. It is good that you will be able to follow the site from the hospital.
