I shot this today and Google maps measures the distance from me to the subject as 900ft away. This also has a pretty good crop on it. Nikon D7000 with the Tamron using a tripod.

I am at the 24th floor of M.D.Anderson Cancer medical center in Houston taking this picture. The building at the bottom left hand side of the picture is the lower front section of the building I am taking the picture from. The three buildings across the center of the picture are also M.D.Anderson buildings. There are several more high rise buildings that they own. Last time I had cancer it evolved getting chemo. This time I will have an operation first ,then stronger chemo and the stem cell removal and then even stronger chemo and finally placing the stem cells back in. The stem cell part of this procedure will require 3 to 4 weeks in the hospital on Houston and an additional month in Houston for follow up tests..My wife and I have made three trips to Houston in the last four weeks with many more for the rest of the year. All this and I still have to work in some time for my photography!

Having lunch at the park. Straight out of camera except for crop. Finally had a few minutes to get out and shoot between doctor appointments.

Spotted this osprey having lunch today. Was out shooting with my friend Mark Hollister. This was taken with my Nikon 70-200F 2.8 with a 20E III 2x teleconverter and heavily cropped.

After MANY, probably hundreds of visits to GINS Park trying to see a baby alligator, I finally saw it today. I not only got a picture of it it was on the log like i had always wanted it to be and on top of everything else that went right I got him to smile!!!!! This is one fantastic day for me. I can't even guess at the number of hours I have spent trying to get this picture. I am ONE HAPPY GUY! He is about 2ft long.
Marilynne, I still got my Doctor Dolittle mojo!
