re: #1364
Hi Jeff
In nature, as in photography, sometimes things are "nut" like we would like them.
Nowadays, in this part of Europe, we are going through the highest and longest heat
wave sine record time. The heat is driving me "nuts". Water levels are low. So it is
to everyone to decide if they should water their garden and plant beds. At this point,
no one was observed "live" watering the sidewalks! …this would be rather "nuts"
I know, …you see me coming! …or "nut"?
When a scene looks too dull, one may pop it up by locally applying adjustments i.e.
on mains elements of a take. Here, I think you went to far with the sliders in a too
widespread application.
Since this file is already saved, go back to your RAW and adjust the whole take's WB
and tonal range if necessary, making sure that all stays natural even if dull still. Now,
comes the artist! Your subject and main elements of the decor (tree and grass) may
be locally adjusted for colour and what "nut".
Your take will end up looking different for sure, closer to a natural rendition. Or nut?
Have a good day… (and show me what came out of it!)
