Good stuff fellas . . . I could talk about fish all day. I'm a fish geek. I'm also a big fan of Nat Geo, Animal Planet, Wild and any other network that focuses on animals. I look forward to the next Shark Week!

I look forward to the next Shark Week!

Come down in my neck of the woods and you can LIVE IT all year round! Even in February, you can dive our waters, though a hood and 1/4" wetsuit is a necessity since the water drops into the upper 50's. I am absolutely fascinated by sharks, have been since I was a kid. And I can say without hesitation, having swam with them for over 3 decades, that sharks have a very ill deserved reputation, fueled in no small part by that utter fantasy movie Jaws. 95% of that movie was pure, unadulterated BS and it sparked a totally ignorant and irrational fear and hatred of sharks that persists to this day. A shark's life consists of only 4 things; they swim, eat, poop and make baby sharks. That's it, that is their whole life. They are not the crazed man-eaters of folklore and Hollywood. We kill millions upon millions of sharks per year and there are usually less than 25 attacks by sharks per year worldwide, about only one fourth to one third of which are fatal. And most are the result of people doing dumb s**t that gets them attacked.

Ok, I will get off my soapbox. We now return you to your regularly scheduled program, already in progress. ;)

GrandPaw,

I am a little late coming to the party! My apologies, I just discovered this thread. I have gone through the first 35 pages of posts and some of your images are amazing! I have greatly enjoyed looking at them. My internet tonight is a PIG, it is raining out and not doubt, but be impacting the speed, which is awful, for what I am paying! :distrust:

When I get a chance, I will view the remaining pages. I can hardly wait, what I have seen so far only wets my appetite! Well done!

I have done the same thing myself. I'll get to looking around and ask myself, why haven't I seen this before? I'm sure there are still others I will find as time goes on, sometimes I just amaze myself when I find new threads and topics. Thanks for looking through my thread and I'm glad you found something you think worth looking at. Thanks again, Jeff

I have been greatly enjoying it, I am up to 80 posts reviewed. Some of the images you took are amazing, I especially like the BiF shots.

I also see you like to shoot some of my favourite birds as well... Egrets and Herons. Very well done.

Hope to finish reviewing all by the weekend,

I shot this eagle through a net that surrounded the entire enclosure. I used F2.8 so the net would disappear being out of focus.

I posted this one a few months ago and is much better. The one I took on the tree was on a overcast day in the shade.
