I'm celebrating!!!! My "Nikon D7000 Tips thread" has just gone over the 50,000 views mark. I started writing this tips thread because I could not find any tips on the internet about the D7000 when I purchased it. My intention was to just write a few tips and then stop but so many people were reading it and emailing me telling me how much they liked it that I keep trying to come up with new ideas all the time. I am now at tip #80 with it having been viewed over 50,000 times. It has been a lot of fun but as time goes on it is harder to come up with new information to be able to continue writing. I will keep it going as long as I can. I hope that some of the member here on nikonites have found some helpful information in the thread. I would also like to thank everyone that has read it and suggested it to others, you interest and participation is greatly appreciated.

Congrats!! If you're looking for new tips, get a D5100 and start working on that for us.

This is a Sandhill Crane that I spotted at the local airstrip that is near my house. They are endangered and have a radio transmitter and a identification ban on their legs. This bird was flying down the runway.

I THINK THEY ARE NOT THE ONLY SPECIES THAT ARE ENDANGRED. Texas schools begin tracking students with computer chips in ID cards. WHAT'S IN YOUR WALLET.

Very nice Jeff... You do so well with all of your bird shots... I like this for the sharpness, the eyes and the bokeh! Thanks for sharing!

This is a pair of Osprey that are at their nest on top of a tall electrical tower several hundred feet away.

We have a pair of osprey in the area. I saw one in town for the first time last week. The local birds were chasing him off. Pretty funny to watch a bunch of.small birds ganging up on a big bird like that.

their head markings spoil the shot for me, looks like someone used white out to hide their id.

Maybe they were having a bad makeup day but that is how they look so there is not much I can do about it. There again, I guess I could with PS but then it really would spoil the shot.
