this is one more of the many cars that i photographed this last week in the "cruisin the coast" held on the mississippi gulf coast that is an annual event each year. If you are interested in seeing more of the old cars you can go here and it will take you straight to a gallery on my website with many more pictures that you can look at. When you get to the gallery, if you click on the tab slideshow in the upper right hand corner of the page, it will automatically take you through all the pictures.

love the old car photos, wish they had a setting where you could take a photo that would not drive the photographer to drink with all the distractions,

What happens is that several main streets in the town are closed off except to walking traffic and the cars that are being shown. A car will stay in one location for awhile and then drive to another location in another city along the coast and park so it can be seen by a different group of people. As the cars being shown reach an empty spot along the closed off streets that just park in that space for a while so they can be viewed. It is just the luck of the draw which location that they get. Due to the fact that there are thousands of cars participating and many thousands of people walking around viewing them it is a little challenging getting clean shots of the cars but it is a lot of fun trying. This is a free event for the spectators and also includes different bands playing in each town or location and is a really fun event to take the whole family to. Using my Sigma 17-50mm lens helped me get very close to the cars and make it possible to eliminate the people walking around looking so I could get a cleaner shot.

I went to a Renaissance Faire yesterday and they had a bird demonstration and I got this shot. These birds move pretty fast and at around 20ft distance, it was a little challenging to get.

Shot with my D7000 and my Nikon 70-200VR F2.8 lens.

Biloxi lighthouse with our new visitors center in the background. This lighthouse is the only one in the United States that is in the middle of a four lane highway.

Fantastic shot Jeff but maybe it's time you clean your sensor. A few very apparent dust spots in the sky. :(

I noticed the spots shortly after posting the picture in my thread but had already had received some responses to my post so before I placed it in my gallery I fixed the problem. I'm wrong I fixed one of the other ones and missed this one. I will have to start checking closer and you are right about needing to clean my sensor. I'll try and pay more attention and do a better job.
