Looks like that Tammy is one heck of a birding lens....even the Bokeh is nice at extreme focal length!

I am sure a lot of it has to do with the OP skill at wielding such a monstrous beast!

That should be a great trip this time of the year. Are the lights up for Christmas yet? I have always wanted to get down for that.

I really should play with the DX mode on my 600, just never think about it.

YESSSSSSSS the Christmas lights ARE up and I am looking forward to seeing all the decorations. We went in December two years ago and it was great. We are taking our two boys and three grand kids with us.

I really should play with the DX mode on my 600, just never think about it.

I have the PREVIEW button on the front of the camera set so all I have to do is press it and move the rear command dial one way or the other to switch between FX and DX mode. It's quick and easy.

I might add that when you shoot in DX mode that only the area within the box in the viewfinder will be in the picture and not everything you see.
