Going from Dx to FX

I'm going to quote Mike W, I don't NEED it but I sure as heck WANT it and I do have permission .:encouragement:
I'll just say, I like shooting my D7100. I like shooting with my D7100 a lot... a whooooole lot, actually.

That being said, it doesn't compare to how I love, love, LOVE shooting with my D750.

... I never should have sold Emmylou, after buying the D750.
To help you resolve these feelings, I suggest you put a 50mm prime on your D750 and go take some photos.

Nothing I've found makes me feel more strongly connected to the essence of photography than that setup, right there.

How's that going to help me shoot a BIF?

I have the Tamron 150-600 for Nikon. Has anyone compared the Tamron to the new Nikon 200-500. I'm shooting with the D750 most of the time but still occasionally use my D5200.

I'm talking about missing my crop sensor D7100, and you're telling me to put a 50mm on my D750 for inspiration.

Yes, clearly I'm missing something.

And that's exactly why the DX to FX "upgrade" isn't a requirement for everyone. The sports action and wildlife guys might be better off with the crop bodies because they don't have to upgrade to even bigger/heavier long focal length lenses.

I still can't decide what's best for me and whether I really "NEED" an FX body. The only thing for certain, for me, is that I need to get out and shoot a whole lot more.
