@RON: thank you for your benevolent comments! Yeah, I was attracted to this scene because of the lines and the contrast between the orange and the blue... The sunlight was excessive, like it is always when a gloomy, rainy morning turns into a clear sunny afternoon... For this kind of situation (relatively sudden and radical change of a weather, for better) there is an interesting proverb in Serbian: "whoever died this morning, surely has regretted it by now"... Is there an adequate (proverb or saying) in English/American English?

Went into a church too hear a singing group perform. They were alright but i was more struck with the great lines of the main chapel._AAA2818 - Version 2 - 2014-06-06 at 19-25-29.jpg

This is actually the roof of a large convenience store on the way to our beach. I must have passed it several hundred times over the years and told myself I really need to photograph those just those dormers. I finally had a camera in the car one time and decided to stop. I used the 180mm f/2.8 to compress the perspective and climbed on the roof of my Jeep to get the right point of view.

The same for this one, I can't remember how many times I passed it before I finally stopped and photographed it. There is just something about both the symmetry and asymmetry of it that I found so appealing

This is our bank downtown. The building in the foreground does come to a point but has a flat roof, but by using a 20mm f/2.8 Nikkor and shooting UP I skewed the perspective so it came to a sharp point, as did the part of the building behind it which was not pointed at all. The two angles then compliment each other.

Reminds me of when I worked for American Express in Plantation. Some one decided the window tinting should go inside not on the outside and some windows exploded with the summer heat.

Edit: Ted - when you come back in the fall/winter, we should take a trip to WPB. I got called for jury duty yesterday and I can't believe all of the new architecture downtown.

Edit2: Also, the restored 1916 courthouse is fantastic!!
