This scene will not be possible in the near future. A new hotel is under construction and the entire view wll be blocked next year.

Going through my hard drive trying to tidy up and came across this I took and processed earlier this year.
Calke Abbey is a weird and wonderful stately home to visit. None of the grandeur of most open to visitors stately homes.
The externals of the buildings are beautiful, but the insides are crumbling, as generations struggled to find the money for the upkeep of such big places.

This is the stable block, and like the main house the outside it still in great shape.

Interesting, thanks.

Are you intending to go for the Lightroom CC offer? (I also have PS Elements at the moment.)
Nope. I dont like the throught of "renting" my software. The elements software I bought on an Amazon "Black friday" sale and paid about £20 for. If all their software goes on the cloud, then I will be looking for alternative processing methods.

Yup, I agree about renting, it really goes against the grain. But it's where everything is going I'm afraid. :(
Topaz have an alternative, not sure what its like as I havent bought that module of their software yet... but I am impressed that their upgrades are free! So if the software I use now goes on the cloud I will seriously look into the Topaz stand alone editor
