Haha, you guys should be able to tell exactly how I'm taking this based on my replies , but appreciate you asking at the same time.

And on the courtesy note, I've seen plenty of graphers get pissy at the most trivial things like others taking shots of the model a guy took maybe 3-4 minutes to pose perfectly for his shots, so staying clear of the hired crew was a priority.

I took all these in RAW, so I can go and re-jpeg them all with new settings at any time. Right now though, the sheer ability to take RAWs is like that new toy to me, so I enjoy making some snaps come out a bit more surreal and crazy.

What I do at a wedding is say to guests "Take what you like but dont get between me and the B/G and dont slow me down ...Now Nikon owners to the front please "
The point is I dont care a toss what you take because I have been paid already..standard practice in the UK ...and all that is between me and a profit is the courts if I screw up BUT I am wired and insured....

I'm willing to bet the B and G love the last two shots. The last one looks like they are surrounded by Paparazzi during a special moment. The second to the last, shows a character making a peace sign, They will laugh at that for years. You got shots that the "pro" did not, he was busy getting the boring "expected" stuff. The "upper crust" weddings may have high technical expectations, but the average couple just wants to record a wonderful moment in time. Of course they want quality, but more memories come from candids. When we've thumbed through our wedding pictures, I don't stop at the cake cutting and church pictures to admire Bokeh. We stop and laugh at the picture of my goofy cousin doing a dance with a chicken head mask on (taken by a guest). The expensive album collects dust. Shoot what makes you feel good.

Also remember this- if you don't like something, best leave it alone and let it get buried away than feed the fire you dislike.

Couldn't disagree with you more.

I got banned for a few days for saying I thought your water mark was ugly. I didn't realise this place was such a nazi forum.

I believe honest criticism is the best way to improve. Not saying anything since you have "nothing nice" to say is ridiculous.
