On another note...a hot dog pellet rifle shooting BBs can a lethal weapon...they hit hard enough...

One of the greatest storytellers of the 20th century IMO...the truth is hard to swallow sometimes...
How many book covers do you see like this one nowadays? Cinema on the other hand is out of control...or maybe folks forgot how to read...maybe they forget a lot of things...

I ripped this one from the net and modified it not because I think I could do better but because I like it a lot...the photographer is long dead so screw him and his copyright...

I have been a member of this forum for almost two years. When I started there were like 5 moderators. Now there are like a dozen. I made a post the other day referring to the two guys who KILLED several people in COLD BLOOD. Because we have so many zealous moderators now who are going to enforce political correctness I have received an infraction. I just received another one the other day because I countered back at a guy who was saying Yanks are bad people. That is real nice when a member has been around for a couple of years and said member gets wrote up by someone who has been around half of that time.

I'll probably still lurk around but with such overzealous moderation I don't think I'll play in your sandbox anymore Jdeg...starting to find to many cat turds in it if you know what I mean! Keep the website growing like it is and pretty soon you'll be just like Nikonians. :)

I'm sorry we'll have to give you on demotion point for the use of words like turd and booger. :)
Sometimes in an effort to make a clean sweep they remove more than they had intended.

I don't get on here as often as I used to but you are one of the familiar faces, sorry to see you go maybe I won't come around that often either.

I'm sorry you feel this way, but your comment was offensive towards a group of people regardless of the context. Specifically, you said all 'good' Muslims kill themselves for martyrdom, implying that all Muslims are the same. Maybe you didn't realize it at first, but the moderator was simply reminding you in a nice way. The infraction system is simply a way for moderators to keep track of things.

Regarding the other incident you are referring to; the other person that made the comment got an infraction also and is now banned. The comment you made was far worse than just calling someone a 'yank'.

If we let comments like this go then that will negatively reflect the character of this community. If you saw something on here that offended you and nothing was done about it, you would continue to participate?

Wrong. Your post (which has since been deleted) used two words, one of them offensive by itself and then paired with a nationality, in the same sentence. It has nothing to do with "political correctness", but everything to do with common courtesy. This is an international forum, with people from various cultures, some of them posting in English as a second language, some of them of the same nationality that you used in your inflammatory post.

It's not the first time that you've gone off on a ranting with inappropriate language and we overlooked it.

I personally like you and will miss you if you go, but if you can't play by the rules, find a different playground.

If you're staying and using this thread, use it for photography and not to open a discussion about your disgruntlement about how this forum is run. Otherwise it will be locked.

Jeff, dear, I DID do something about it . . . he got an infraction (before you did) and was permanently banned as a result of MULTIPLE infractions.

Have a little more faith in us mods.

I see that Jeff... but first is so perfect and the expression and slight smile of mouth.. I never get back to the other eye and it survives with catch light! :)

I do not care for the softer look..
