thanks , got about three weeks before the next tournament the monash masters , cant wait for the golf and the photo ops , any ideas for the themes would be great , im making a photo book for his coach who is 75 and has never charged him since he was 14 , he comes to nearly all his events in sydney , the book title is 2015 road to the british open , that is the dream to play and his coach believes 100% he will play in them as it will suit his game, he is one of the best coaches around so who are we to argue lol

I could imagine a bunch, but they might be a bit tough to get. "Bark" could be as a ball hits and knocks some bark off a tree. "Water" has to be a shot of a ball as it hits the water.:D Might post a few themes that you are drawing a blank on and see what we come up with.

i still have five i can substitute for , given i want class shots for a photobook gift , i think ill substitute one for the following sunset for sure , light , clouds

any ideas on a good substitute that will allow for quality shot to tell the story of a golfer and the courses he is playing

Extreme - Capture a fist in the air when he's 60 feet from the cup, putter in hand and no ball in sight.

Coiled - water hose maybe, but a rattlesnake off to the side would be cool (or would it be sic, or is that sick)

Isolated - a green stuck out in a lake or back in the trees

Broken- I remember when I used to play golf, when teeing off I would often break the wooden tee. Do they still use wooden tees ?

or maybe a very fast shutter and capture driver hitting ball and tee and breaking it

Club head speed can approach 100 mph (or a bit more for Tiger and Company). Not sure you can catch anything of the club but a blur unless you use a trip and flash. The tee flying off maybe. I like the idea.

thats what the challenge is about , trying to capture an idea , not being lucky and fluking it , my son was pretty impressed the other day when we got the shots in minimal time and i told him exactly what they would come out like , flash might be the go to freeze it , be interesting to see what 2000 shutter speed will do to a club , he can swing slower , i might have to build this picture with a couple of exposures but im not against that anyway
