This is the slow part. all the finishing details. A lot can't be see here since it is in the laundry room or bath room.

they are hoping to get it all done on Monday or at least to the point of the punch list of things I think need to be done before I pay them the last check.

Agreed! It's amazing that builders and owners overlook such detail during construction. My wife and I were strolling through a very expensive home the other day (not to buy, just to look at) and the "million dollar view" from the kitchen dining area was obscured by the worst selection and placement of windows you could imagine. Money and wisdom don't always come as a pair I guess.

The view out of the side with the four windows is not that great. Just the neighbor's house. What I was really thinking is the natural light and how it would look in photos. Going ot put light filtering blinds there. Nice light and hides the view.

You might consider some suitable landscaping as well, with plantings near the property line to form a curtain. In any case, the light will be nice to enjoy.

Still have a few details yet to go. Floors still have to be cleaned, attic insulated, touch up the paint and a little more electric work.

They were pretty good about it. The owner really likes the photos. WE are working on a deal to do a time lapse of the next full house they build.

Actually going to trade taking out a double window and replacing it with a set of french doors going out to the yet to be built new patio.

I check the forum calendar every day. Also, when some one mentions their birthday or anniversary, I add it to my desktop sticky note if I don't find it listed in their profile. Don's isn't listed on the calendar, but he did mention it in one of Scott's threads.
