Re: Don's Construction Project

Well here is what day 11 of the construction project looks like. They did take a few days off for Thanksgiving.

Re: Don's Construction Project

Things are progressing right along but the things they are doing now are the details that really don't look great on camera. Here are a few from this morning.

Cutting the hole for the dryer vent.

AC vents ready to get hooked up

Pot lights all ready

Electricians hard at work running all the wiring and switches

Re: Don's Construction Project

looking good, still finishing on time Don?

Not really sure. There was a screw up on the windows and that is holding up everything. The inspectors won't approve the framing till the windows are in. The siding can't go up till the windows are in. Sheetrock can't go up till the framing in approved. I talked to three inspectors this morning and they are all very complimentary of the work that has been done but........

Glad to see it's coming along though!

I would highly recommend these for your recessed lights that look like they're going into a cold zone: Tenmat FF130E Recessed Light Cover - Amazon.com

I used to have terrible drafts around mine. I installed these before putting more insulation in and sealed them with some great stuff. It can get a little expensive depending on how many lights you have, but I definitely think it was worth it. Check the sizing, you might need the bigger ones.
