Re: Don's D7000 Daily Dabblings

Got a chance to shoot at a night high school football game. Nothing like giving it a hard workout to start with. EXIF is on each photo. High ISO but I was very pleased with the results

The D7000 came through like a champ!!! Great pictures.

It is a Automated Photoshop Script called FrameShop . It produces the drop shadow frame, adds the EXIF data that I want, My name and then re-sizes and saves the copy where I want it saved.

Thanks for the info Don I snagged it and will check it out later!

Very nice shot Don, getting used to the D7000 are you? :)

It is really pretty easy to get used to. Knowing the D5100 inside out helps though. Also I did shoot several shots for HDR and that was easy also. I set U1 to do 1 stop Bracket and U2 to do 2 stop bracket so you can set up to bracket in a couple of seconds.

Yeah the D7000 has a lot of nice features and most important stuff can be had without going into menu, but learning what all the buttons do, and actually remembering is the problem. I have to occasionally look up what a certain button does, today for instance because I forgot what it does. Getting old ain't for sissies!

I went with my DIL the other day to Savannah and went to Barnes and Noble, can't walk into that place without buying something and bought the "Digital Photography Master Class" by Tom Ang, excellent book and had to look up a few things that he mentioned in the text.

This is what happens when you are stuck in the car waiting while the sife funs into the grocery store for "just a minute" You get bored and shoot whatever you see from the car window.

Very nice work Don! Those doors to nowhere can really get you in trouble after a few cocktails! :0

These shots were all taken in/around Prattville? I have been through there a thousand times and never knew there were beautiful places like that in that small town. I am from Alabama myself. Up near Huntsville and I go through/near Prattville when I go home to visit.

My wife is from Huntsville and we just sold a house in guntersville on the lake so lots of time spent in north Alabama. Their are a lot more of my shots in the D5100 section and many from north Alabama.

Well dang! We are neighbors then. My brother still lives in Huntsville (Madison actually) and works for Davidson Technologies there. I been here in Florida for about 22 years now.
