Don's Old Daily Dabblings

Re: Don's Daily Dabblings

The Nic Collection is addictive. Enjoying the HDR tools. HDR generally is overcooked for my taste but Nic gives you easy controls to get it just where you want. Finally figured out how to open all in ACR together and apply the same correction there and the open in PS. Once open then I can load all open files in Nic HDR and process them the way I want and then Nic sharpness and noise reduction. Still working on the proper workflow for the process.\

I tried to warn you...Nik plug-in's are a one way street. Once you get a taste of their sweet sweet honey there's no going back. :D

Re: Don's Daily Dabblings

I really like the sharpness of the bird eye image. Very cool!!!

They always say to focus on the eye. He was right up against a chain link fence do I could not get a good picture of the entire bird so I shot just the eye. I liked how it came out though.

Used Nic on it too.

I like your Nik HDR shot of the clouds with the blue sky. Very nice post processing Don.

Re: Don's Daily Dabblings

Here is the strange shot of the day. When I am shooting Panoramas or Bracket shots for HDR I generally shoot a shot of the ground in between each series. that way when I am going to edit them I have a reference for which shots go together. Well here is one of those ground shots.

Yes it is late. I need to go to bed.

Re: Don's Daily Dabblings

I just thought it might be a tip that someone might not have thought about yet. Sometimes i will shoot several sequences of the same shot with only slight changes so the foot shot helps to separate them. I figured that out the first time I did that kind of shooting and then came home and started to edit them.
