Pets are "easy" - people are tough! For me. Guess its pretty clear what I do most, lol.
Agreed. I find my cats and dog very easy to photograph and I enjoy taking photos of pets. People, on the other hand, I just can't do it as well. I always feel self-conscious taking photos of people.
Im just not seing the picture before taking it, as I do with animals.
I did several portraits this weekend, all money went for a dog club (renovation and so on) - I saw this as an excellent chance for some free advertising. Its was pretty successful, I am done with the pictures from saturday and emailed around 35 pictures to different owners (some wanted more than 1 picture - one even wanted 6 different pictures, phew).
It was very fun and I learned a lot! Weather could definitely been better saturday, hard and bright sun, but until 3 o'clock we could still be okay in the shade. Sunday were WAY better, bright but cloudy.
A few wanted a picture with owner and dog, thats is something I seriously need to get better at. I'll post one for critique later on. I got one I'm happy with though, posting it here.
This is just some of the pics from saturday and a single one from sunday, I hope you'll like them
(Sorry if Im spamming you!)
I am CRAZY about this first picture, the owner said I spot on caught them just as they are. Look at those faces! Amazing!
Wud, you have something that can't be taught, caught or bought! Natural instinct in what you like in a photograph makes for outstanding images, IMHO. :congratulatory::congratulatory:
It is obvious you love dogs. That, coupled with your artistic talent, passion for photography, and that "wow, that looks good..." feeling inside when you take a pic is what makes masterpieces...again, IMHO.
Great artists didn't do what everyone else thought was right. They did it their way. Cookie cutter images number in the millions, maybe even gazillions. Yours will be in the smaller group of *Really Good Ones*.
I will quit now, before people think you are sending me money....LOL
Imagine them covered in fur![]()
