Thanks Whitelight!

I have been struggling to do this place justice. The natural light has been a very harsh white. It has just seemed to suck the color out of my photos. But the D90 and I have been muddling through.

Very nice. Last time we were there I was not quite up to the point I am now with shooting so I was not pleased with the shots I got. Seeing yours makes me want to go back.

Thank you. That means a lot to hear. To be honest I just bought me a tripod a few hours ago. Everything I had up until today was handheld. Some shots I liked....but some like the waterfall I wish I could have a do over.

Every time I look at older photos I see things I wish I had done better. I try to remember all those things and do better next time.

I hear you. Some photos I look back at really gets me wondering what was I thinking about when I took this.

But it is fun to see how far you have come.

Back in Ohio. Already planning to try and sneak in another trip this fall.

Already miss the mountains.

Next time go down in to Cherokee over 441 from Gatlinburg. It's a gorgeous drive and you can buy one day permits to fly fish on the reservation. Don't know about bass but I've eaten some amazing rainbow trout from those rivers and streams!

That route is where I took most of my photos! Loved that drive. My F-150 loved it too by all the gas it guzzled. Yeah....I didn't take my gear. My girlfriend would have skinned me alive. While photography is a passion...fly fishing is an obsession.

I normally fish for bass since Ohio only stocks trout here now. And the rivers are so overfished. Takes the fun out of it when you try and roll cast back out to your spot only to have a guy 10 feet away double haul his butt off to beat you to it.

Photo #1 = I love that building. I never did get a chance to visit it while we were there and I don't remember why we didn't.

Photo #3 - Ankles.... Racy photos. Warn us next time in case we are at work. ;)

Now that's funny.

I never went into the building either. It was always so crowded and the mountains just seemed to be calling my name the entire time I was there.
