Congrats on the new lens.. I have the same one and it is almost always on the 7100, wehn not, you will probably find it on the 5100!

I don't see this lens coming off any time soon. My next job is to trade up the 55-200 to something is the 300mm range.

Oh....and its a balloon flower. Inexpensive but can add a bunch of color to a garden.

Never heard of a balloon flower but those veins are excellent and your focus on it is great. Only flowers I have are billions of buttercups since no animal will eat them and they just keep multiplying

It seems like I am leaving my B&W photos too dark when I process them. For some reason they look great on the laptop. But I have no way to change my laptop's screen. Its a vicious cycle.

That 18-105 does a good job at this distance. Of course the photographer has a lot to do with how good they look though. The wood chips make a great backdrop to the blue flowers.

I really love this lens.

Thank you! I have noticed the more comfortable I get with the camera the more I can focus on my shots.

A Water fountain I made. Just playing with slow shutter speeds.

There is a small plastic pond that I put into the ground. I bought some plastic grating to lay over top the pond.
I took a big lava rock drilled a hole through it and ran a tube up the rock from a pump in the pond. Place rocks over the grating and done. A Water fountain without the fuss.
