according to your exif data you had 11 mins 41 sec to spare. lol, you need to set an alarm on your phone girl.

You are right. I should probably set a reminder. This time was just poor judgement. Went to help a friend and didn't get back until late.

I actually set my camera to a real time clock online. Maybe I should adjust my oven clock and double check how my camera is keeping up.

The Pleiades (M45 in the Messier Catalog)

I can't capture the nebula that surround these stars, so it isn't a very interesting image, but there it is.
Edit: Adding a link to information about the Seven Sisters.
--It can be mysterious little diffuse cloud if you aren't paying attention, and it is often confused with The Little Dipper.

It's not unpleasant , leaves something to the imagination, could be instructive, and it would assist me if I wanted to recognize that cluster, its Zen. :)
Thanks. I like the way you think.
Getting the image wasn't an easy task . The cluster was pretty much at zenith, so I was squatting under the camera trying to see dim stars in my viewfinder at an awkward angle. I need to get my scope out and see what I can do.

I had put more information about the cluster in my post originally, but I deleted it.
I am going to add a link. It might inspire somebody to learn more about the night sky.

I have been fascinated with that cluster since I was a kid. I spent a lot of time at my Aunt's house, and where she lived the sky was pretty dark. I noticed, back then, that if I looked a little to the side, I could see it better. I had no clue why, but it was a cool mystery. I understand averted vision now; therefore, a childhood mystery has been solved. That hasn't made the cluster less fascinating to me, but more so, and I think of my favorite Aunt when I see it.

THE CONCLUSION OF JANUARY.
My car was parked near a building, and I noticed the inside was lit by the security light.
It was nice to be on level ground in an area where I didn't have to constantly look around. I was by myself for a short while, but the property gate was locked. The sky was fairly dark there with Orion looking down. I liked the solitude.

I heard the squeaking brakes of a large vehicle then BAM!
I shot all of these images from my front window.

Goodness. Glad she is ok.
I was rear-ended on an interstate in Dallas one time. Jerked my jaw out of alignment. The car in front of me stopped. I stopped, then I watched in the rear view as a truck plowed into me.

Hay Dawg,

Since you stated you took these pictures from your front window, I like they way you edited the street sign to read "My Street". Many people, including myself, wouldn't have thought to do that. :nightmare:

@Bikerbrent

Thanks.
Privacy is kind of a joke these days. My address is public record, but why make it easier to be stalked? Then again, maybe I created a challenge for somebody.

Anyway, I thought it was kind of funny rather than blurring the sign, and I wondered if anybody would catch that.
