Call me crazy but I dig the BW more. I just find it more visually interesting. I spent more time trying to take in all the detail versus the color version.

Works, but for different reasons. The sky textures in B&W make it a bit more complex visually, which makes up for the loss of all that color. That said, I prefer the color version.

I like that shot but color is such a great deal. Cos your composition, capturing the colors and th ereflection makes the colorphoto awesome. B/W does a half job only.

The first TV station I worked in was still in B&W (yes I am old) when we finally went to color it was so much better.

Yes certain things look great in B&W if done right but that beautiful sunset is not one of them.
