David_W's Images (Project 365)

Funny, but I'm headed in the same direction. After the Kelby training I joined NAPP and have been cruising through their training videos. So many powerful things to do in PS. I'm heading back to shots I did my first year with the D7000 and totally revisiting the edits. I'm actually glad I never really did anything with my Yosemite and California pics from 2011 as I think I can only now do them justice.

The two features I can not do without is "Content Aware Fill" and "Content Aware Spot Healing Brush" They can save a picture. A beautiful scene that you find out when you get home has a person in the background. Poof, he's gone.

The Dude
I drove out to Anza very early in the morning a week or so ago and I'm just now getting around to some of the images I took. This one shows the Cholla cactus, sometimes called the teddy bear cactus and the Jumping cactus, depending upon who you speak to. The thing I love about cactus is how they glow, especially in low light. I used to hike the deserts at night (too hot to do it in the daylight) and just the moonlight alone would light these cactus up making them very easy to avoid, even at night.
