Ya know, dapper...you take nice pictures. However, they seem to need a little "pop" to make them come alive. And some sharpening, too.

These are my interpretations of your #11 and #12. What do you think? I, personally, would hang these on my wall! :)

What a compliment! I don't want to seem cocky, hard headed or anything like that. And I really respect your critiques, but for those two I really like the way I edited them. The flowers have a nice "hipster" look to them that I love. Kinda faded colors and such. Please don't stop giving me ideas though! I just like those the way they are haha. Do you know what I mean?

Yup...know exactly what you mean. :) So you liked the faded look. OK, I can understand that. I just wanted to show you what I meant by "pop". Then again, I like photos that have clarity and sharpness. Makes them easier to see (for me anyway :) )
I still like the shots you took. You're developing an eye for composition, and that's good in my book. :) Keep at it. :)

Well hey you're right about the sharpness, that wouldn't really change the "faded" look. I'll keep that in mind. More sharpness to make it pop more :) And thank you again.

Hey Dapper,

I really go for the soft tones, low contrast, flat saturation, no extra sharpening…

To me, this soft and mellow touch of yours is easily distinguishable, unique…
and this is called artistic intent.

I dig this later fuzzy plant for instance.

Have a good day…

Well shoot haha, conflicting opinions...... We'll see what happens then, and thank you for that comment about me having a "unique" style.

Photography is very subjective . . . the important thing is what YOU like and what YOUR artistic intent is. You use the depth of field exceptionally well to enhance your composition. Keep up the good work, and welcome to the forum.

Very true and thank you for the welcome! As a newbie I want to take into account all criticism's, but I understand what you mean.
