My little Woodpecker got a bit confused. He jumped on my flag pole and just wasn't sure what to do with it.

My buddy is a Louisville Cardinals fan and I am a UK Wildcat fan. Posted this to his facebook page. Told him a cat came in the yard and these two Cardinals were looking for a place to hide.

WHO OR WHAT RESIDES BEHIND THE TRIPLE FENCE? SUCCESSFUL HORSE OWENER OR DISTILLERY.

A successful horse owner.

On the right is a pasture for the expensive horses. on the left is for the cattle. The horse fence is separated from the road by an outer fence. The inner fence has not 90-degree corners. Thorobreds are a bit high strung and find ways to hurt themselves. If they get cornered they have been known to freak out and break a leg.

The Woodford reserve distillery is about 3 miles down the road on the left. It was too crowded that day to take any photos. I need to get over there during the week.

Week 22 - Some of the folks in the club that I retired from were doing a fundraiser for a Veterans Nursing Home. I stopped by for a bit to visit and take a few photos. I do not see these guys much any more.

do you miss your bike mate?

Yes I do. It was tough selling it last year. I know that I no long have the skill set to ride. It just takes to much focus, but this time of year I really miss it. It was pretty cool leading a pack of 50 or 60 bikes. It was also a lot of fun just rolling along a country road by myself dragging a floor board in a tight corner or two. I ran straight pipes with 4" baffles and that big twin and 65-70 just rumbled along at about 2500 RPM and could do it all day long.

But it is part of life. One door closes and God opens another. I love photography and doing my blog. I would never have found time for it back in the biker days.

Thanks for asking Roy. It is good to rehash some of those memories a bit and be thankful for the changes as well. God is good.

Week 23

Pat and I went for a ride today south of town where much of her family is from. The area is called Halls Gap. We stopped at an overlook at the top of a snake trail and I took a couple photos. The road was pretty much guard rail on one side and cut away rock on the other. We had not been there in a few years.
