Went out on the Porch with Jersey Girl today and just watched the feeders. It was a lazy day, but I enjoyed it. I know one of the shots lingered on the edge of going to the "Almost Shots" thread but I decided to keep it. Gives me a little encouragement.

Out in the yard with Jersey while she wanders around sniffing and I am watching the sky with the 200-500... I must have been standing TOO still, cause this thing circled me a couple times :(... I know I am feeling it a bit today... but I was convinced I did not look that bad... :unconscious:

I am really enjoying the porch and the bird feeders. Regardless of the condition my condition is in I can sit with Jersey and watch the birds and get some shots that I enjoy... besides the vultures. There are a bunch out in the mornings but they jump and run. But they are getting use to us. It is really enjoyable when I am not up to going for a drive. God is good.


I will be honest... not a big fan of starlings... they are messy birds that nest in my eves, but this one looked pretty cool in the sunlight.

A few years back, a hospital was built on land that once was farm land. Whenever we passed the hospital, there were vultures circling on the west side. I wondered what the patients thought as they looked out their window and saw them circling and circling. It took a while, but the vultures don't hang out there any more, well, not the wildlife variety anyway.

Nice sunrise Danno! I like the fact that you didn't try to over process the sky with over the top saturation and a way too liberal use of the clarity slider. I love a beautiful natural looking sunrise/sunset.

Kind of a cool and dreary day. Threatening to rain. I was not going to go out. But at the last minute decided to just take the 200-500 on the porch and look at the feeders... I am glad I did.

Danno,

Having just learned of your "disability", I have to say, I am really impressed with your work. I had not looked at your thread before now.
It is bedtime, so I am afraid I don't have time to "like" every post! But I would ...like... to! :)

Not so much of a disability, I would say. More like a higher power telling you to slow down and enjoy life.
I love the knives that your late friend Dave made!

Your photography is excellent! You have the touch!

Your bird images are coming along nicely,is it possible you could put some sort of natural perch in,then catch them without including the feeders.

Thanks Mike. I can try to find something. The little ones land on the Shepherds Hook now. I may be able to find something and set it aside for them to perch on.

You are getting all kinds of birds now. My neighbor started putting peanuts on his back stoop. I now have the Jays flying all over and fighting the Robins for command of the birdbath.

There are 3 valid. When I exported them from LR I neglected to include the data, so I exported them again and TRIED to delete the originals and they sort of deleted. I then posted the the replacements. I never have much luck deleting stuff here...:confused:

Join the club,if i delete an image then upload a new one the old one stays as a thumbnail.:confused:
