I have an N90 from back in the day but don't remember it being nearly as loud as my D800. But the D3200 I borrowed for a week was awesome sounding. I was playing with it before the D800 arrived and was hoping it was part of the new technology leap for Nikon, but nope. The D800 slaps everybit as loud as the rest of them...

That may one day be very well and true. Just as the sun will blow up one day. However, today, it shines brightly on the D800! ;)

Who in their ever loving right mind would pay like 12 grand for a camera that only shoots B&W? FT I am going to buy a d800 a d800E and a d4 before I pull some crap like that! I'd buy a M9 before I bought the monochrome one for that matter... :)
