My partner would say you were wasting that rum letting it splash over like that, but I don't like rum, so I'd say no big loss :D It works well tho and you caught the splash really well....love all those little droplets flying thru the air :D

LoL! Thanks, V. I actually LOVE good rum and would never waste it (Especially 23 year old Centenario)!! My secret for a rum and whisky look-alike ... varied strengths of iced tea.

The lighting is really good on the rum shot....It does, however, look like some of the droplets spilled onto the lens or filter? No big deal, still a great shot!

Thanks, Chris. Tried this one out with white background and base rather thank the black in the martini shot. Definitely not on the lens; as I was set up about 8 feet away from it. Looks like there are more droplets that are all over and out of focus and in lower lighting. Think I could clean it up with a little more time in post.

probably just the angle the drops flew out!

Hey, V. I haven't seen those. Actually just started to see that several photog's out there are offering up LR actions. Seems like a great idea; although many I have seen were ridiculously priced! I need to dig deeper into some free ones to play with. I'll check out your link. Thanks!!

And I agree that this one is a tad dark. I played around with it some more. Better?
