Oh @Marilynne, you must have missed the other thread under telephoto. The tripod mount collar would not tighten/lock down on the lens. They wouldn't just exchange the collar, so the lens went back for a refund and I have another one on order. It should get here Wednesday. My refund for the first one will take about two or so weeks. I did it that way so I could get the lens sooner instead of just waiting for them to replace it in three weeks, if that makes sense.

Yes, I did miss that. Good luck with the new one.

I'm so far behind reading my subscribed threads. When I finally caught up with wev's, he got his internet back and now I'm behind again.

After adding a desaturated layer

I'm not sure which I like best. At first I liked the colors of the first, but then I like the naturalness of the second.

Any opinions are welcome and I won't charge you to post them. :encouragement:

I like these clouds and the wind generators along the landscape, however I think I learned something. I knew at 11mm there would be some lens distortion, but I figured I would be able to correct it. The software that I have available to do it when it is this extreme is RawTherapee. It corrects it, but I lose a good portion of the bottom of the shot. Think of only the top 1/3 of the wind generators showing and no mountains except on the far right. OK, what have I learned? Next time encompass more at the bottom of the shot when composing, so there is something to lose without losing the ground/mountain perspective of the shot.

Any other software available that will correct the distortion without losing the bottom of the shot?
