A few to test out the Tokina 11-16

This creek doesn't flow very often during the year, but with the rains we just received, it was nice to catch a shot of flowing water converging into one stream.

A cabin hidden in the mountains and it is for sale.

A couple of more using the Tokina 11-16

The results of a fire that burned through the area a few years ago. This cabin didn't make it and the owner probably didn't have fire insurance.

First attempt at using a new ND Filter I purchased a few months ago. This was a learning experience, first in trying to get the exposure correct and then trying to decide how slow to set the shutter for a nice effect. After a number of shots that were so-so, I noticed a red tint band in the middle. Then I remembered that the Viewfinder needed to be covered. This was after I covered the viewfinder and ran out of time to play. I almost think that it was a little long for the shutter. To me it almost looks too smooth. Other than that I like it. Ha!

I think you hit is just right Still has some detail as to where the water is moving but you get that dreamy effect. I love it.

When I get a chance to do this I generally shoot two. One fast and one slow and see what I like better. Sometimes I merge them and split the difference.

A few from yesterday.

After the rains, Charlie (120lb yellow Lab) is almost hard to find in the grass.
