The First Mojave Rattlesnake of the year. About a month later than the first one I saw last year. From the look of the broken rattles, he had a rough winter.

Is that the same as what I've heard called a Mojave Green?

Yes, they are one in the same. Their colors vary depending on where they are located. I have seen them a little bit farther north from here that are a yellowish green color and that is why they are called Mojave/Mohave Greens. They can be pretty nasty at times. They seem almost always get up on the wrong side of the bed. Ha! Their venom is also much worse than the Western Diamondback rattlesnake.

That has been an impression I received whenever I read anything about them. A current coworker of mine worked in California years ago. When there, one of his coworkers was bitten by one and it was fatal.

Trying to get caught up as I can. This crow stole a golf ball from someone. The funny thing is that other crows were chasing it, to try to get it from their buddy.
